Elisa's First Day of Preschool

Elisa started preschool last week and has fallen in love! She is so obediant to get ready in the morning when I wake her up. She loves learning and telling me all the things that they have done in class. It is weird not to have her around two mornings a week but I am glad she is doing well with this!

Redfish Lake

I am for warning you this may be a blog overload! I haven't blogged forever and have tons I want to blog about. First off is Redfish Lake. At the End of July we went to a family Reunion at Redfish. I have been going there my wholE life so it is nice to take my kids and let them enjoy it!We went to the fish Hatchory and went fishing and watched them mark Salmon.

We did lots of Jet Skiing! Even my grandma took a go at it!

These to trouble makers had alot of fun together!

I can't believe my baby is "1" !

Kennedy is a happy girl all the time. She loves to smile at everyone and when in church thinks that is time to start entertaining people! Things that Kennedy love to do at one are: walk, say go and dada, she loves dogs, she still loves to cuddle and she most importantly loves her mommy! I have to be in sight at all times if she can't see me she lets me know it! She loves to swim, play outside and follow her sister everywhere!

My sister did a little photo session and Kennedy especially liked sitting in the cup she thought it was so funny!

Dance Recital

Well the following videos are of Elisa's dance recital. The videos pretty much explain how well it went. I guess I should tell you that Elisa has Quite the personality and if she is not going to do something she is not going to do it! She had a dress Rehersal earlier in the day and did every move to the dances but not for the recital she was not having it. Plus I think she had to go the bathroom! Finally for the Final they got her to dance by bribing her with Candy. If I would have thought of that sooner then maybe she would have danced the whole time!

Easter

This post is a little late and my blogging is long overdue but here it is! This year for easter my parents happened to be here! The girls were way excited to have them around!`The girls and my dad! Elisa kept him busy all weekend with all sorts of things.
We took Elisa to the easter egg hunt at the city park, she was all excited until 200 hundred kids started running around and then she just got scared and stood there.

As you can see Kennedy was thrilled about her easter basket! So thrilled she didn't wait for Elisa to wake up. She unpacked hers and started in on Elisa's!

Sail Away Sail Away

Brody and I just got back from an amazing Cruise to Cabo San Lucas I was in heaven! I have wanted to leave the girls for awhile now and get away together and we finally did it! This arch was the view I woke up the first morning we were there! It was beautiful.
Every night on the ship are room man Comrad would leave a different animail made out of towels we were always teasing him that he was going to have to out do himself the next night. On are final night this is what we found a bulldog going after legs it was to funny!

This is brody and I on are snorkling adventure. Lets just say that we saw whales and that was my favorite part. The snorkeling thing was a little crazy in freezing water and there was not really any amazing fish so we will try that somewhere else with clearer water!

This is the mommy whale we saw we also he baby was also putting on a great show! we really were that close to them and it is as if they new we were watching they were totally putting a show. We even joked that they probably just had mechanical whales to make people get there moneys worth!

This is brody and I just getting ready to go back to the ship! We had so much fun and it was good to get away. Coming back to real life on the other hand was not fun. By friday we were def. ready to be home though. We missed are girls terribly and my the time we got off the ship I was done after a tsunami warning and the port be closed and then after we finally got to dock we were bound to never be able to get off the ship because of the imigrants not going to through imigration! We can't wait to go again! next time I think we will take the Kids!

These two girls love each other! Elisa loves for kennedy to sit by her and watch her morning cartoons it usually only lasts five minutes before Kenned is moving to much for Elisa's liking! Elisa loves her sunglasses

And so does Kennedy. She will wear them and not even try to take them off!

And this is Kennedy's new bath tub! She will not sit still in the regular tub and is constantly trying to pull her self up so we decided this would be the perfect spot! She loves it and Elisa thinks it is really great because she doesn't have to share her bath!

The girls are both at such fun ages! Elisa has become quite the little helper! She loves to vaccum, Set the table and help me empty the dishwashers.

Kennedy is trying to Crawl she can do a couple little lunges and then she usually falls but the last few days she is really starting to figure it out and now I am in trouble!

Crazy Christmas with the HODGES

This year we spent Christmas with Brody's family and when I say family I mean the whole family! We had a great time and 21 people in one house makes for complete craziness! We had so much fun going sledding at Soldier Hollow and Pirates Island, going to see a movie and getting pedicures. It was great to be able to just sit around and visit since we all live so far apart we don't get to see each other very often. Brody's sister from Kansas City drove out with there four kids and it was so much fun for Elisa. She loved her older friends! She was really sad to see them go! We had a wonderful Christmas. I do have pictures but it was complete mad house that morning it was basically a free for all with that many people!

We have all have had the sickies since we have been back and have been just taking life easy. Brody is back in school and Kennedy is trying very hard to crawl. I don't know who told her she could do that but it was not me. I am totally against her getting big! Elisa is still herself up to no good but we love her and I think she might finally be growing out of the terrible two stage. She is saying funny things all the time and I wonder where she comes up with them. She loves her sister to pieces and that is the first person she wants to see in the morning!

Potty Training and sisterly love

The last couple days we have started the three day potty training Elisa is getting the hang of it! Her biggest problem is that she doesn't want to be told what to do so I am using the three day potty training method and it is a lot less of a fight with her and she stayed dry all night for night one so lets see how day two goes!Mean while Kennedy is just chilling with us and is being happy all the way through it!

The other day I came out into the family room to find this! Elisa was totally lost in a show and feeding Kennedy her bottle. I thought it was pretty cute!

Dancing and Update

So I have been trying to download a video of Elisa's dance performance for three days now and it is not working so we will blog about it without the video. Elisa loves dance but I don't think she likes to perform in front of large crowds she was not a fan. She was either frozen because it was outside or she had stage fright but in all her life she has never held so still. She always gives us a run for are money but we love her. Lately we wonder what is going to come out of her mouth she has started to say the funniest things and I now have to be careful what I say because she repeats things. Recently Brody was singing and elisa was still sleeping and the next thing we hear is elisa " Daddy stop it right now I am sleeping I don't like it."

Kennedy is growing like a weed I don't remember Elisa getting big so fast but I am sure she did I just want my baby to stay a baby. She loves to smile at everything. She is so happy most of the time. I always hate to break peoples heart when she smiles at them and they think that she loves them I don't have to heart to tell them she does that to everyone. She has been sitting up since thanksgiving and rolling since october. She is a good Eater she loves to eat all her veggies so far and rice ceral. She weighed Sixteen pounds when I took her to the doctor the other day and she had the rolls to prove it. The doctor mentioned to me that she is definatly not starving.

Don't they just look totally awesome! This is how Are morning went one! And no my girls are not naked and in Jamies til 11 everyday but today they sure were hahaha! But they loved it.Elisa recently started dance. She loves it but is a little crazy when we get there. I hope she get the hang of it and starts to mind the teacher!

I feel like I just don't have time to do all the things I used to do with just one kid. My blog has definatly not got updated as much. But we love Kennedy and wouldn't change her. She is my happy baby. She smiles and giggles all the time now and only puts up a fuss when she wants food or someone to talk to. I think her grandma Hodges spoiled her with talking for one weekend and she has demanded ever since. She sleeps good which is so great since my two year old now thinks she needs to wake up and check on the baby to make sure she is still here. Elisa loves Kennedy, somedays to much but she is adjusting much better than I thought she would!

Womens Celebration 5K

For the Second year in a row I have done this 5k Last year was fun I walked it with a bunch of girls and we had a great time. This year after I had Kennedy my friend Holly and I decided that we wanted to Run it so we have been training for it. As it got closer I told myself there was no way I could run it, But I did in about 43 minuted which I still can't believe. Are friend Britten also ran it maybe next year We can beat are times!

When I am having a really rotten day all they have to do is smile at me and it makes it all better. I love it because when I am gone for one evening when I walk in the door they give me loves and let me know they need me. I love when I bring elisa home a suprise she looks at me with her big green eyes and says thank you mommy like I have just given her the world. I love that all I have to do is look at Kennedy and she gives me the biggest smile. This video really puts everything in to perspective!

We had such a great weekend with lots of family! We are greatful to all the people who came for her special day! We did lots of shopping and Eating it was alot of fun. Trip to Eastern Idaho

This last weekend we made the long trek to Eastern Idaho to a family reunion We got to see all of Brody's Siblings and Parents and they all got to meet Kennedy! Elisa got to Play with all of these guys! She is convinced they are not her cousins but they are her friends. I guess we won't burst her bubble. Brody's mom wanted a picture of all the grand kids and them you can tell how well it went over in the next two pictures!

While we were at the reunion the men went golfing. I told brody I was sick of never getting to go golfing with him so saturday when they went they let whatever wifes that wanted to go come along as you can see we had a great time! even if it meant fishing for are balls in the huge pond! it made for a fun time!

These two have been keeping me really busy! Especially the bigger of the two. Elisa loves her little sister to pieces I thought when we brought her home that her life might be short because of her older sister but that is not the case thank heavens! Instead I think brody and I lives might be shortened becasuse she is acting up more than ever! But we love her and with a little patience(something I am working very hard on ) I am sure we will survive! On a happy note Kenndy gets to meet the rest of her garndparents this weekend and I am sure Elisa will love every minute of attention she gets!

Kennedy has been such a fun baby so far but has been keeping us busy. She is a great sleeper and loves to eat and that is pretty much all she does all day! When we left the hospital she had a little jaundice that turned into alot of jaundice and she has been on bili lights for 3 days the first night was horrible because we couldn't hold her except for feedings it was not good for an emotional mom she also had to be watched 24/7 so there was little to no sleep in are house. The next day she had improved so they let us have a bili blanket instead which has been much better I will have to get a picture of her on the blanket I didn't get one of her in the bed I was to sleep deprived to think straight!

A proud big sister

Well there are not to many pictures yet of her but I am sure alot more are to come. Kennedy was born Tuesday at 5:21 6 pounds 5 Ounces 19.5 inches long.

I had went to the doctor last friday and while I was there my blood pressure was high so they moniterd me thru the weekend and everything was fine. So I had another appoinment tuesday morning and my Blood Pressure was high again. So the doctor said we are having this baby right now. At this point most people get really excited, I on the other hand went into a panic. Did I mention I went to the doctor by myself! Brody was at work and Elisa at a friends! I immeditaly started crying asked the doctor can I at least go get my husband he looked at me and said I am not trying to be mean but no! Well needless to say i survived and he made it but not until I was all checked in hooked up to the pitocin and having pain and already wanting drugs! They started me at 11:30 and she was here by 5:21 she came fast and it was a thousand times easier than it was with elisa! She is a good baby and Elisa I think will adjust to her eventually. She has not figured out that she is not leaving yet!

Last week we went with some friends to the Zoo I was super excited to go since Elisa is really into animals lately. She had a blast and has been talking about the animals ever since.

Utah Trip!

Elisa and I recently took a week long trip to Utah to see these guys! and go to a wedding

she had alot of fun with her cousins!These two are the best of friends if they want to be or they pretty much don't get along at

all it really just depends on the moment. This moment they were getting along Hadley even shared her Hu hu (blanket) which no one is allowed to touch!
The main reason we went was so I could go to a wedding of a really good friend. There are no pictures because not only was elisa sick the whole time I was sick the whole time and let just say taking pictures was the last thing I wanted to do. We also got to see Grandma and Grandpa Hodges and my brothers new baby it was a very eventful trip and I am glad to be home! Although I could go back for the pedicure brody's mom spoiled me with! Elisa loves her grandma and I think she is taking a liking to grandpa since she asked were he was about every two seconds. also ever since are trip she carries a picture of her uncle tyler and around and talks all about him!

This past weekend my Parents Came and Elisa was in Heaven She loves her Grandmas that is for sure she follows my mom everywhere.

My mom redid an old chair for elisa's room it is so cute! She also made her some cute curtains and we got some cute flowers there be more pictures of what we did on the next blog post

She can now play golf with her dad and help in are new backyard with her rakes and shovels thanks to her nana and papa! Easter Dress and more

I finally found my Camera Cord to download some pictures so that means I can update the blog! We have been busy getting a backyard put in which means getting rid of all the weeds putting in a sprinkler system and I am very excited for the sod this weekend if it stops raining. We figure that with 2 children we probably should have a backyard for them to play in instead of the street!

This last sunday I made Elisa wear her Easter dress to church since we don't have it this week you can tell how happy she was about it. She just kept telling no church mom no church to bad she didn't get to choose! This last week was also brody's birthday so we had some friends over for some Ice Cream cake and then just brody and I got to go out to dinner! Thanks amber for taking her so we could eat in Peace.

One of Elisa's favorite things to do right now is make forts out of my Couch pillows I strongly discourage this but brody helps her out so I guess I lost the battle but she does stay in there for awhile so I get alot done!

Ok so we have known for a little while it is a GIRL! and I have been getting alot of slack for not updating my blog about it so here she is in all her glory. we didn't get very many good pictures of her for two reasons 1. Being the ultrasound lady was a real idiot excuse me for being rude but she had awful bedside manner and I really don't think that she new what she was going. and 2 this little girl thought it would be fun to play with her feet the whole time so the one picture is of her playing with her feet apparently they are really fun because she had a good time playing with them. We are super excited for another girl. Elisa is not so sure about the whole thing yet but I hoping she will come to grips with it eventually.

So I decided instead of getting mad at the messes elisa is always into that I would just take pictures and try my best to laugh.
Today she made her very own peanut butter sandwich while I was getting ready for church the joys of brody not being around on a sunday morning!

Time Out

So I really love these two. But sometimes as a wife and mother does anyone else feel like they are just not doing there best! That is how I was feeling lately but the good news is I am back. This last weekend my mom took my sister and I to Time out for women in Ogden and I can I just say I feel recharged I feel like I want to be better. I think a weekend away definatly made me appreciate them more and I learned alot of great things not to mention we had alot of fun going to dinner and shopping. Brody and Elisa had alot of fun with brody's parents and hear elisa was quite the enertainer for her little cousin she has been telling me all about baby katelee since we got home. other than that we have just been hanging out at home. I can't wait for spring so elisa can go outside and run like a wild women I feel likes she is getting antsy being inside all the time!

A visit from family and more

I know I have been a horrible blogger lately but I just can't seem to get with it. last weekend brody's parents came and it was a really good trip. We showed them the sights of Emmett and surrounding areas and they even got to drink from the sweet water troph how exciting for them hahaha! Elisa loved having them here she has been asking about her grandpa ever since although I am pretty sure grandpa is also grandma. We have been enjoying some really nice weather with playing outside and walks. I told myself not to get used to it though because I am sure it will snow next week.

Elisa is growing up so fast and starting to act like a big girl. She is interusted in the potty but I haven't quite been brave enough to start that but she will be potty trained before this baby I am convinced of that. thats about all going on around here i promise I will be better at updating!

Santa Came!

We had a great christmas filled with lot of fun. Elisa had so much fun unwrapping presents even if they weren't hers to open. She was really excited on christmas morning when we just let her go crazy wripping paper. Her to favorite gifts were her scooter and Cheetos. If I would have known that cheetos were going to be the one thing she got excited about I would have only bought those! She had alot of fun stacking all the presents at my moms house into pyramids until she got in trouble for opening them.

Elisa also went bowling for the first time and loved it. She didn't quite understand taking turns but she sure loved rolling the ball down the lane she didn't even care when it went in the gutter! We had a great christmas with family fun and lots of food. I was really disappointed when brody had to go to work today!

Lately!

So life has been a crazy lately. lots of you have been asking for details about the new baby. So I I will give them to. I am due the first part of july! Brody and I are really excited and Elisa I think maybe is getting the idea that something is going to turn her world upside down. We really feel like this baby wanted to be with us after a year of trying and a miscarriage we feel very blessed that are heavenly father would allow us another one of his children. Elisa loves babies and I am trying to teach to be soft and nice to them and they aren't a toy.

Elisa is constanly in trouble she is busy and I don't know if busy is even the word. In the last two days she has made a masterpiece on the wall dumped a whole canaster of flour all over he bedroom playing with her kitchen, unwrapped all the christmas presents and so much more. But we love her I am definalty learning how to laugh at the trouble she gets into and not respond like an angry mom.

Brody and I both stay busy with church callings mostly brody though. I have definatly had to adjust to him being gone all the time and I spend alot of evenings alone. We truly love were we are living and have really great friends to make living away from family easier! We feel blessed this holiday season!

Busy Week

We had a very Busy week this last week. I started a new Job Brody's mom sister and niece came to visit for a few days and then is was off to visit my parents for along weekend!

As for the new job I am now doing hair very part time at a salon downtown emmett just to keep up on it and have a little me time! I have really enjoyed the salon thus far. Now if I could just get over the guilt of leaving Elisa. I never thought it would bother me so much I mean she is for the most part home with brody so I shouldn't feel bad I guess I am just a weirdo!

Second we were so excited to see Brody's mom and Sister and Elisa's cousin Katlee who by the way elisa adored. We got to shop and play and learn how to decorate Cakes it was a great couple of days we wish they could have stayed longer.

Then we were off to my parents house for columbus day weekend. It flew by to fast. Saturday brody and I got to go to a much needed trip to the temple why Elisa played with Grandma. We got to work in my parents garden which I remember hating as a kid but Elisa had alot of fun. Of course I took my camera but didn't take one picture of all we did so I am lame!

Feelin The Burn

Yesterday Elisa and went over to Boise with some Friends and Went to the Womens Celebration Expo and then to a Park she got to sit in a Race car, Play on slides and swing needles to say she was pretty warn out.

This Morning I did a 5K walk with a bunch of ladies from My Ward! We had so much fun! Although I woke up way to early and now I am paying for it! This walk happens every year downtowm boise it is just for women! We got to meet Jared the subway guy and see lots of crazy women dance around. I think the estimate of women there today was over 10,000 which is amazing to see that many people walking or running. The pictures below are some of the Awesome girls I did that walk with.

I feel like I haven't blogged forever! Because I haven't! Nothing to Exciting has been going on around are house. Elise has been her normal busy self which means getting into things like the dryer and stuff like that. We just moved her into a toddler bed and she is loving that some told me it was to early but I really felt like she was ready she hated her crib and wanted to sleep in the extra queen size bed we have every night so we just converted her crib into a bed and she loves it. she will be 2 in a month and a half and boy does she act like it. We are definatly in that stage.

My parents came for a quick visit and elisa loves having company and so do I! I love company I know that seems weird but we don't live close to family so when they come it is nice to have them. Other than that no new things going on around here!

Are neighbors have this really cute barbie bug that they let Elisa cruise around in! She love it sometimes she forgets to ster but the other night she was cruising around for like an hour by the time her and her little friend got out they were half asleep it was the funniest thing!

Also last weekend we had a block party there was a huge bounce house with a slide and i thought for sure elisa wouldn't go down with out us but I must have forgotten she is not afraid of anything. She climbed up there and went down about 5 million times she was so cute! other than that not much has been going on around here.

So this week I have taken Elisa to two differnt splash parks! Needless to say she could have cared less about the Water and just wanted to play on the slides the whole time. She loves to slide. Also I found her one morning this week laying on the table with the rug watching her morning cartoons. It was so funny I couldn't help but grab the camera. She is also been very into helping with the laundry!

This last weekend We ventured to provo for a quick trip. All of Brody's siblings were there and brody's sister was blessing there baby. It was good to see family and have a weekend away! The Picture above is brody's parents with all of there grankids the picture explains everything!

In other new Elisa is getting to big to fast. I was just realizing that in November she will be 2 I can't believe it. But her getting bigger comes with alot more work. She is into trouble all the time. Just some examples this week: First she found a candle and rubbed wax all over my Glass Doors that only took about 45 minutes to scrub off. Then Today while I was cleaning one bathroom she was in the other filling buckets of toilet water and dumping in on the floor. Did I mention that she can now open all doors and if I am not careful she is outside in a flash. But we love her anyways.

This last week is kind of a blur for me! I feel like a not so crazy week turned into a crazy one! First Brody and I had are 3 year anniversary. We officially hired are first babysitter so we could have a night out! We went to dinner and did a little shopping nothing to amazing but going to dinner with out an almost 2 year old is worth paying a babysitter for! The next day Elisa got to play with friends all day why there mom had a new baby! The next day we got to go see Him! Congrats Holly and Jeff Owen is adorable! Saturday Brody Decided that he was going to buldoze the back yard! I was a little worried when the neighbor said we could use the front loader and then let brody drive it himself! For the record heonly hit the house Once! He will blame it on my but I was not the one driving! Last of all is the little project I worked on! I am not much of a sewer but have been working on getting better so I made a car seat blanket I have seen them around and thought they were a neat creation so I tryed it out and had a good time making it! Last but not least is a video of Elisa Dancing! Brody found this weird music and she loves dancing to it! She goes absolutly nuts it is pretty funny to watch!

Redfish Lake

This Past week we spent at Redfish Lake. This is one of my favorite places ever. I grew up going there for family reunions every year. It was brody and Elisa's first time going and it was good to share that memory with them.

I woke up to beautiful scenery every morning. Elisa went on her first Fishing trip and got to play on the beach and in the water every day, She was in Heaven.
Brody and I got to chase her constantly so she didn't wander off and we even got to relax what a great week. Now I just need a vacation from my vaction to get caught up!

Elisa and I took an impromtu trip to Rupert this last week to hang out with my parents and enjoy the 4th of july fun! We at alot at the square shopped in twin and Elisa got to meet my Aunt sue and Uncle Jeff for the first time.

Syncronized Swimming and Many other Fantastic Things

Every Year are stake has a womens retreat the women spend a night a way and the men get the kids! It is pretty fabulous if you ask me. I think one evening away makes me a better mom! A few of us were asked to be in the Talent show that evening so the ladies in are ward decided to do some sychronized swimming only because we are so graceful. (watch video for your enjoyment). saturday morning is spent taking rotation classes were I learned lots of new things. It was a short but good get away. Elisa and brody went and played with some friends why I was away him and the other guy thought it would be ok to put her in underwear why she was swimming. They found out later that wasn't a good idea when she pooped in the underwear and it feel out onto the deck so i hear. Then they proceed to spray her down with the hose I sure wish I hadn't missed that!

Elisa has a love for my purse for some reason! If it is in her sight or reach I can be rest assured that everything is coming out. Well this last week she got my purse and this is what I found! She still has one dollar and is bound never to give it back she throws a fit everytime we try and take it from her.

She is getting so big and is trying to talk alot although we don't understand much of it at all but sometimes she laughs at what she is telling us.

My mom also gave her these sun glasses why she was here and I often find her watching her morning cartoon with them. She must love watching Clifford in sun glasses. Not to much going on around her just enjoying are summer!

Utah Trip

We just got back from are very busy trip to Utah. Elisa and I flew out a week and a half ago for Tami's baby shower which turned out so good and was super cute. we can't wait for a new little cousin for Elisa to play with. Plus Tami looks Fabulous! Then we spent the week with my sister in Layton. Elisa had tons of fun playing with my sisters three little girls. I also got to visit with one of my very good friends Becca and her little Girl lexie who is a doll I am sad I didn't get a picture of Elisa and Lexie together. My sister took us to the tree house in Odgen one Evening and Elisa thought it was the greatest thing ever to just run free.

Brody Joined us on Friday and we traveled to his parents Cabin for the Weekend which is always relaxing Elisa got her first ride on the four wheeler and I am pretty sure she loved it. It was a good trip and it is always good to come home!

I feel like we had nothing going on this week but still managed to be pretty busy! Maybe that is becuase I chase a 18 month old around all day! Elisa is into everything I think it gets worse by the day but I love her and wouldn't change it for the world! This week I got a new Camera for mothers days. We had a few nice days so Elisa was able to get outside she loves to ride her little bike and fly down the driveway. Then she goes back to the top to start over. She enjoyed roaming the neighborhood and eating ice cream cones. Elisa and I are leaving on friday for a long trip to utah for Aunt Tamis Babyshower and a visit to Aunt Courtneys house. I am really Excited to just get away for a little bit.
Elisa also has gone to Nursery the last two weeks and seems to be enjoying it. Although she came home today with a big cut across her chin. She also is starting to say lots of things and always has us laughing at the things she does. I will be posting a picture of her busting a move. She definatly doesn't get it from me as many of you well know I am not a dancer!

This past week I had the oppurtunity to be in the play the 10 virgins. Are ward did they play for a few wards in are stake and I am pretty sure we are headed to Broadway because we were awesome! If you would like to know I was one of the 5 virgins that had no oil in her lamp for I was a drinker and a little bit loose if you know what I mean. Although I was not thrilled with the idea when I got asked it actually turned out to be a good experiance and I am sure that I learned more than the audience. I wish I would have got a picture of everyone because some of the costumes were awesome!

One Hot Week!

This week started out in the Upper 80's so we have been enjoying the nice weather! Monday and Tuesday we went to the park each day for a couple of hours, and Wednesday are friend Holly Invited us over for Swimming and lunch. Elisa has enjoyed being outside so much that is hard to keep her occupied inside! She loves going down the slides at the park and enjoys think she is a big kid on the big swings! We hope the nice weather will come back soon!

Easter Weekend

This weekend we went to my parents house for a fun easter weekend! Elisa had so much fun she loves her Nana and follows her everywhere she goes. Friday we spent the day cleaning at my grandmas house, Saturday Brody and my golfed 27 holes. my mom and I shopped and tryed to take Elisa to an Easter egg hunt but there where 5000 people so we made are own at home and she had alot of fun with it! She also would not let me take a good picture of her in her Easter dress but she looked pretty darn cute! It is always good to go home!

Hockey Game

We got some free tickets to a hockey game! It was a fun night out. We saw some good fights. Hockey is alot better to watch live than on TV Elisa was really good until she got tired so we left a little early. The Yard

This weekend we started to work on are new project. The back Yard also known as the rock quarry! When we bought this house it had a front yard but not a back and the back yard has so much river rock that we could probably sell it and make a profit. So are good friends Jeff and Holly came to help rack rocks on friday night and after about an hour the men decide that a tractor was need! Well we used this sweet tractor and after about one hour are rocks were gone it saved us days of rock racking now on to sprinklers and grass! Also last night I got a much needed break and had a girls night with some good friends. I can't tell you how relaxing it is to sit in a restraunt and not have to wrestle a child! We are hoping for nicer weather this week so Elisa and I can get out and play. She likes to be outside and I find my house stays much cleaner and in one piece if she can get outside and do her thing!

Grandpa and Grandma Hodges Come to Visit

This past weekend Brody's Parents came to Visit! We had a great time together even though they were not here to long! On saturday we gave them a grand Tour of down town Boise and then Introduced them to one of Boises Finest Restraunt's Donnie Macs Trailer Park Cuisine were they offer among many things a Single Wide or Double wide Burger and Trash Fries. We really felt like they deserved the Best! Just kidding it was pretty Tasty and the Food Network was there Filming for a show Called Drive ins Diners and Dives. So when i am Famous in 2-4 Months no one be shocked! Elisa loved seeing them and so did we! We hope they won't wait another year to come back!

We Also have Hit a few Milestones this Past week. The First we have officially Lived in Emmett For 1 year and we Love it. I certainly didn't think I would like it nearly as much as I do. I was convinced brody was going to have to Commute because I was not going to live here but I changed my Attitude and we really do enjoy Small Town Life. Second Elisa Has officially been going to sleep on her own and sleeping through the night for about the last 3 weeks. This is bliss for me since she has never been a good sleeper! And last but not least she can officially have two cute Pony Tails.

What Happened to my baby!

I am not sure what happened to are baby! Elisa seems to have grown up on us all of a sudden. Brody and I just keep telling each other that we can't believe she isn't a baby. She is trying to talk all the time, even though we have no idea what she is telling us, she knows. I just can't believe she is not a baby anymore she has quite the little personality on her these days I think she gets it from her dad because clearly I would never have attitude! (just kidding) She also loves to play outside with her little friend alaney. Yesterday we played outside with her and those to were having a conversation in there own language it was to funny! so the point to all this rambling is that I am in denial that she is now a Toddler!

Family Comes to Visit

This Past weeked my Parents Came to visit along with my sister and her family and Also my Grandma! We had a full house but it was so good to have them here. On Saturday Papa Erwin Treated to grandkids to the Discovery Center Downtown Boise it was so fun, They have tons of hands on Scientific things to do they also have a little grocery store and Elisa just loved putting all the food in her basket and driving a grocery cart around that was her size! Also Saturday we went to a hot spring and Elisa loves to be in Water I am a littl afraid because she thinks she can swim but she can't!

The other Day Brody took Elisa into Petsmart and he want to adpot this huge dog! His name was Diesel and he was Huge so Huge that Elisa could ride him as you can tell from the Picture she didn't Like it to much!

We had so much fun having Family here and are looking forward to a Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Hodges in a few Weeks!

15 Months and Growing!

Today I took Elisa to her 15 month Check up! She hates that place because she knows what is coming! She had to get 3 shots today but only cried for a minute before the gave her a sucker then she was in Heaven. She is 23 pounds, The doctor said she is perfect in height weight and head size! She also is getting a tooth so the next few days could be so much fun for me.

Here are some pictures from the Other day when I tryed to round brush her hair! Lets just say it didn't go very, But I can finally but a little pony tail in the top so that has been fun for me. Also she loves Dancing and taking her Clothes off!( not at the same time). I just hope that she grows out of that!

I feel like we haven't done anything to exciting to update the blog with. Last Saturday we had free tickets to the BSU Basketball game, we had alot of fun and Elisa loved the band. She would clap and dance everytime they started playing. She also really enjoyed the Coke that her dad was sharing with her. I don't want to speak to soon but we pretty much have Elisa sleeping threw the night we have had a few bad nights but for the most part she has been doing really good!

I think that Elisa gets smarter everyday she has now learned how to open the toilet lid so if I don't shut the door she is usually playing in the toilet. This last week I asked her if she wanted to go in time out for playing the toilet and she looked me in the eyes and shook her head no and continued playing in the toilet. It was so hard not to laugh I just had to turn around and not look at her! She also has a new love for food and is pounding on the pantry door about every five minutes!

Young Womens and other stuff

So recently I was put in Young womens! I am really excited to work with the youth. I was the Beehive advisor for 2 weeks and then they released the whole presidency and now I am the Mia Mades. So if any one has some fun Ideas throw them my way!
Elisa and I have also been going to story time and sining time every week, I am not sure she gets anything out of it but I think it is good for her and maybe someday she will be able to listen to more than one story without getting to impatient.
Monday Brody had the whole day of work and we had so much fun just being together as a family and I officially have a clean garage and hope to keep it that way for awhile. we are looking forward to some visits from are families in the next month so stay posted I am sure that will be lots of fun!

Elisa's Favorite things!

Elisa is getting so big so I thought I would update on her a little bit! She definatly has a little personality and is not afraid to use it! Elisa loves to be with other kids and loves all of her cousins! She also loves to go for walks and play outside even if it is only 17 degrees it doesn't seem to bother her! She love water so since it is winter the bath is her new pool. She got a bike and a rocking chair for christmas and those occupy her for much of the day. She loves to crawl in and out of the chair and rock really fast! She also has started saying a few new words such as "Hi" "See" and she trys really hard to say thank you but it doesn't sound so much like thank you!

Ok I finally saw it. Life has been so crazy I haven't had a chance to go see it. It finally came to Emmett! I had never been to the Emmett Theatre it was very interusting regular price to get in is 4 dollars on tuesday it is 2.50 Treats are no more than 2 dollars I was just in Shock and the cute little old man that runs it comes in a greets you before the movie starts! As for the movie I liked it but found it kinda of funny and had a hard time not laughing out loud at some of the cheesy parts! but for 2.50 it was worth every penny!

We had so much fun this year with Elisa! She hated santa as you can tell from the picture which really suprised me! On Christmas morning she opened her first present and that was all she was interusted in for the rest of the morning! While we were there we also got in some sledding at Solder Hollow which was so much fun!

Today we got to hand Christmas Lights for the First time on our new house!! Brody and I were both excited with how they turned out and are very greatful for my parents who passed them down to us along with three Deer!

Elisa Just had to help so I bundled her up and out we went to help dad she had alot of fun running around and she was very entertained by the deer she just kept touching them!

This past two weeks almost feels like a blur. Elisa and I have been at my parents house for the last week and a half with my grandpas funeral and thanksgiving so close together I decided to stay. My sister and her three girls also stayed. while we were there elisa threw up 3 times cut 3 teeth and learned that clapping it her new favorite thing! Thanksgiving was a fun and we had lots of yummy food. Some of the Highlights of the last weekend were:

Me Beating my brother in law at monopoly (no one ever beats him).

Waking up really early and shopping Friday morning Yes we might be crazy but is fun just to go watch all the crazy people!

We watched santa turn on the lights on the square. That is always a big event for the Rupert people!

Thanksgiving means it is time to set up your christmas tree. Mine is up and actually looks pretty good!

This is my GrandFather he passed away on Tuesday morning. He will truly be missed everyone loved grandpa. Grandpa loved to tease everyone! This is a picture of Grandpa with Elisa just after she was born he loved all his Great Grandkids!

DeLoy Bingham, age 74, of Twin Falls, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at his home after a long illness.
DeLoy was born March 29, 1934, to Charles James and Myrtle Maria Silcock Bingham in Burley. He attended school in Burley and Twin Falls and was a graduate of the Twin Falls High School Class of 1952. DeLoy married Barbara Lee Hill on April 29, 1954, in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple, and they were blessed with four daughters. DeLoy retired from the Amalgamated Sugar Company in 1996 after 39 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. The trips to Redfish Lake were especially memorable. DeLoy served in many church callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and particularly loved working with the youth.
He loved serving others, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed teasing his daughters and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.–DeLoy is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Debbie (Scott) Erwin of Rupert, Kandi (Jim) Holbrook of Northbrook, Ill., Lori (Joe) Casperson of Twin Falls and Terri (Don) Rigby of Provo, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Saunders of Ogden, Utah, and Dorothy Montgomery of Buhl.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Twin Falls LDS 15th Ward Chapel on the corner of Falls Avenue East and Hankins Road, with Bishop Mike Traveller conducting. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls, and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service Saturday at the church. Internment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers from Vision Hospice Care who so lovingly cared for him in his difficult illness.

San Deigo and Little bit of Elisa's Birthday

We just got back last night from the long awaited trip to San Diego! We had so much fun, I love sea world and was so excited for this trip Elisa makes everything just a little more exciting! After a very long flight on Friday night no bags when we got there and Waiting for an hour for the Thrifty shuttle bus to come get us and then another to rent the car I was not so sure how the trip was going to turn out! But we had so much fun Saturday morning I took Elisa Swimming and she is a little fish! She would have jumped into the pool alone if I didn't have my eye on her every second! Sunday we went to church and then we went to Corinado Island and Seaport Village Elisa loved the beach and was soaked I had no clothes to change her into and it was freezing outside but she seemed to think she could take on the Pacific Ocean and Brody Encouraged it just a little! At Seaport Village She got to ride the Carousel and she thought that was pretty great until it was going really fast then I just ended up holding her! Monday we set out for Sea World This was definatly my favorite I love sea world I find it amazing that they can train a killer whale not to eat them and not only that let me ride them and all sorts of stuff! Sea world has just added Seasame Streets Bay of play with fun Kid rides. Most kids might be scared of the Charcters all dresses up but not Elisa she just Ran Right up there and let cookie monster hug her she also gave him a big wack right in the Eyeballs good thing they are fake! She went on one ride with brody but fell asleep while waiting in line! We had so much fun and can't wait for next time!

This week turned out to be pretty nice so Elisa got to play outside alot! She loved the pumpkins we got from my parents house last weekend. She just couldn't figure out what they did. She kept pushing and trying to lift them like it was suppose to do something! She has been alot of fun this week!

Also Elisa's Birthday is coming right up and my parents wanted to get her this buggy for it! Being the nice grandma she is we got to put it together yesterday and use it since it was a nice day! She loved it and played in it all day! In and Out she would go and if any of her friends tried to touch it she was not happy! We are trying to teach her to share but I don't think that she understands to much!

This weekend Brody and I went to my parents house in Rupert. Brody had a three day weekend so we decided it would be a good weekend to go. Elisa had so much fun just exploring there house and she loved following my mom and dad everywhere. I think she was sad to come home. While we were there it snowed alot in fact when all was said and done I think it snowed over 18 inches. It was crazy it is only october for heaven sake. My dad was suppose to help a farmer out this week digging beets but I don't think that will happen! Brody and my dad built me a really cool shelf to hang in my kitchen I am so excited about it. when I have it painted and hung I will take a picture!

Also I was trying to be creative and Holly and I made carmeled apples let just say that the carmel was good and the apples were good but the carmel did not stay on the apples! Also this morning we went to an apple orchard to pick apples it was freezing but we had fun! Elisa's favorite thing to do this week is push the kitchen chairs everywhere! Ever since Elisa started to walk she finds herself in situations she can't get out of. She loves to climb and she loves to go inside of things. She also just love to pound on my piano but I am not aloud to sit on the bench or play at all while she is doing her thing. The other day brody was re-doing an old dresser and she was climbing in and out of the drawers she thought she was so funny. I love that she is so active but I can't keep up with all the messes she is making!

Red Lobster

This happened a couple of weekends ago but I thought that it was a good story and should be told.
We were out with are friends the stokers at art in the park when that became lame very fast we decided to do dinner now Holly had been talking of cravings of Red Lobster for quite sometime so we decided that would be the chose. We arrive and they tell us the wait is 45 minutes so instead of getting the kids all back in the car we wait which seemed like forever. We get seated and we wait then a waiter comes he says will the ticket be together or seperate. We tell them seperate so for so odd reason they decide then that we will have 2 waiters instead of one why we don't know. So the Stokers waiter takes there drink order about 10 minutes before ares does then are waiter takes are drink order and we get are drinks before they do. So then the stokers get there drinks their waiter takes their order oh about 10 minutes before are waiter even thinks about taking are then after waiting what seems like an eternity We get are food but the Stokers waiter is nowhere to be found and they have no food so are waiter goes to find there food and there waiter they get their food. Well we ate and then they must have thought that we wanted to stay the night because I don't think we heard from them for about an hour. Then when we asked for are check that took an hour. So they come back with the bill for everyones meals together. So we asked that it be seperated now need I remind you that they had already asked us if this was together or seperate about 4 million times. So by this point all of have are cards ok and ready to pay because when they came with that bill we were going to be ready. So the Waiter precedes to take are cards with out even showing us the bill. I very politly said may I see a bill first before we pay. He was like oh yeah. And runs away with everyones credit cards. As we are watching him run all over the place with are cards we start to wonder if we will ever get are cards back. Needless to say We finally got are cards back after being at RED LOBSTER for 4 hours. Yes 4 hours. I don't think we will be eating there for awhile which is sad we usually like to go there!

Fun Week!

So this weekend in Emmett was Homecoming so friday Elisa and I went with Holly and her boys to the homecoming parade let me tell you it was the most happening parade you have ever been to! Then that night We went to the Football game Elisa lasted until about half time and then she was so tired we took her home! Last night I got to attend the Releif Society brodcast it was very good and I am thankful for a husband that will stay home with Elisa so that I can go! Other than a Fever all week Elisa has been very active and I am glad she is back to her old self which means trouble!

Walking

this is just a little video I got of elisa walking! She is also just wants to be doing whatever I am doing this is a little picture we got of her helping us on the computer she ment business! We had a pretty boring weekend we were suppose to be getting are yard ready to plant grass but it rained all weekend so we didn't get to do that. I think Brody was happy though because that ment he got to watch football all weekend. Yesterday we went to some friend house for dinner and played games it was fun and elisa loves to be around other kids!

Walking

So this week elisa has decided that she wants to walk. She is trying really hard she can walk 10 or so steps before she falls. Brody and I think she is funny because she walks with her hands up in there air. Brody thinks she is doing the touchdown sign but I am pretty sure she doesn't know what it means.

The other night I went to enrichment and so brody decided he would let Elisa have her own piece of pizza needless to say the white shirt is history but he did take a picture.

I also got Elisa's halloween costume off of Ebay for 6.58 and it still had the tags we tried it on her to make sure it fit and she looks pretty cute.

Random Things

Just a few random things that have happened this week. The first picture is of Elisa taking her first bubble bath. She seemed to really enjoy it until she ate the bubbles and she realized they didn't taste very good she loves to stand up in the tub and as much as we try to teach her not to I just don't think she understands yet.

So my sister has been teaching me this grocery shopping thing so I finally has some coupons that I could use I have been collecting for a couple weeks now so I went to the store and tryed to use her method I was so proud of myself when I got to the check out I Spent 18 dollars and I saved 35 dollars as much as I never wanted to be a coupon women it seemed to work and the feeling was great knowing I saved so much money with just simply cutting out a coupon. Groceries just getting more expensive so I think I have found away to save!

When summer started my mom planted this pot for me for my new house I was sure I would kill it within days since I am pretty forgetful and thought they would die from lack of water well this is what it looked like this morning With Brody's help it is still alive a growing well.

Also the other day I was at deseret book and this book was on sale for a Dollar I thought I better get it so Grandpa Hodges new we were teaching Elisa all the right things there is nothing better than BYU Football in the Hodges home if everyone could just sit and watch them men watch the game it is way more entertaining than the Game!

Sick,Sick and More Sick

This week has been pretty uneventful do to the Bug that has hit are House. Tueday brody woke up and didn't feel so good After one really long day at work with many trips of me taking him medicine he called it a day came home he started throwing up. I was praying I wouldn't get it because it is no fun to be sick and take care of a baby but sure enough no less than 2 hours later it hit me out of now where! So Brody ended up staying home the next day so I could get some rest He felt like nothing was ever wrong with him. so we made it thru thursday and friday with no illness but woke up to Elisa having a high fever saturday and still had it today so we decided we better take her to the instacare today and sure enough she has her very first ear infection in both ears. I hope this week goes a little better. Other than that we did go to Boises Art in the park and to dinner with some friends are 4 hour dinner is a whole other story which is for another blog. This week elisa offically is 10 months old has two teeth and wants to walk so bad to keep up with her friends Kamden and Ethan but she just isn't quite there Yet! Sorry no pictures but I don't think you wanted pictures of are week!

The Camping Trip

This past weekend we went camping with my mom and dad. We had alot of fun, Saturday we went to the parade in Ketchum it is all non motorized so it takes along time but they did have the budweiser horses there and that was really cool. Pretty much the rest of the trip we just relaxed went on some hikes and let elisa role in the dirt which she thought was the greatest thing ever. She was really dirty and was in need of a really good bath today. Today has been pretty relaxed I turned the big 25 today it has just been a nice quiet day Elisa and Brody gave me some money to go shopping which I am look forward to Brody also gave me flowers which I always Love. When we got home from Camping My friend holly brought over a bunch of cupcakes decorated so cute and a game which I was excited about brody and I were going to go to dinner but it seemed everywhere I wanted to go was closed. We had a really great weekend and I told brody I was sad he had to go back to work tomorrow I didn't want it to end.

Doing The Salsa

So Yesterday My friend and I got this grand Idea that we were going to can Salsa since we had all the stuff from her dads Garden. Lets just say that there will be no more canning in my future. It is alot of work and not worth even attempting with three kids hanging on you the whole time. But I can say that I have canned now and now I know why my mom never did it!~

Busy Weekend

What a weekend. It all started on Friday I got this great Idea this week that I was going to have a yard sale and get rid of some junk. So friday and saturday I had a yard sale with my friend holly lets just say that I think that people couldn't find my house because I didn't not get rid of that much junk. Elisa loved being outside both days and was so tired on Saturday that she slept through the night. Yesterday I got to attend the Twin Falls temple dedication it was such a great experiance. I was so brody had to stay home to watch Elisa but it was great to see such a marvolous thing happen. Also this week brody passed his test that he has been studying for. So that was great news he told me that he doesn't know what to do now that I am not nagging at him to study but my nagging paid off. We are looking for to camping over labor day weekend with my parents!

The Crazy things Elisa Does

Elisa Has been so funny this week. Right now she is very in to eating whatever we are we always have to share as you can see above. Also she is into everything and though it is really cute sometimes it is messy. The other day I was making dinner and didn't quite get the fridge shut tight before I could get there she had already thrown a bottle of soy sauce on the floor and it broke everywhere my house did smell for quite sometime. Yesterday was my favorite after she woke up from her nap she crawled into the kitchen and started saying ba ba ba ba I was like she can't possibly be telling my she wants a bottle so I went and made her one the pictures above are of her enjoying her bottle she really did want one. She is at such a fun stage she talks all the time and is always on the go.

Catching Up

This week I Took Elisa to her 9 month check up she was 18 pounds and 10 ounces they say she is good in her weight and her head size but she is only in the 30% for her height I tryed to tell the doctor she came from really short genes but he ignored me they just haven't seen her grandma then they would believe me!! So the day after the doctor she got a cold and in the midst of it was trying to get a tooth. Finally I think that it broke through last night but I never know. I wish i new all the magic tricks to make teething easier for her and me! I think I can count the hours on one hand I have slept this week. If anyone has any advice on how to get the kid to sleep at night let me know because I am tired! We have just been catching up on laundry and all sorts of good things this week nothing to exciting.
